It was time to get really get serious. Yesterday would be considered a test and now it's time for our final test. Today was the Anchoring competiton.
It's time to get to work. Today is the start of the STN competition. This is what we've been practicing for after all these months. Anyway today was the start of the Crazy 8's contest. My job of this contest is filming all Man on the Street interviews and all stand-ups. We started out in the hotel, Taylor, and Taylynn were creating stand-up scripts and questions for Man on the Street while I check the equipment.
Another great day, today we actually got to really see San Diego. It all started with a walk to Petco Park. This ball park is the home of the San Diego Padres.
There we got to see the stadium from top to bottom. We saw first the visitors side of the stadium, that place looked so cool. On this side of the stadium there is the visitors clubhouse where the visitor team have there locker room, weight room, lounge, and most importantly batting cages. Unfortunately we were not able to go into the Padres lounge because of security reasons, BTW the Padres are in Arizona right now if you wanted to know. After, we got to on the field, we were also not allowed to go on the grass because they say
Today was another awesome day. I was looking forward to this day before we left Hawaii. Well anyway, let's talk about today. We got on the bus to San Diego. The ride was 2 hours long which felt very short of a ride. Along the way, we stopped in Burbank to eat. When we arrived at the Manchester Hotel, our rooms were not ready so we put our luggage and other items in Aunty Jodi and Uncle Don's room. After we ate at Seaport Village before going to USS Midway which is the thing that I was looking forward to.
After we left Seaport Village we
It's Day 3 of our STN trip. Today was one of the best times of my life, going to the "Entertainment Capitol of LA", Universal Studios Hollywood.
We started out walking to the lower lot of the park taking these 4 escalators. There we rode Transformers 3-D, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurrasic Park the Ride. Then we went back up to the main level and rode "The Simpsons the Ride".
After we went down to the Studio Tour. This attraction actually takes you off the theme park and to the actual studio itself. There we learned about the different sets in the studio and what movies we filmed there. For example, we saw the set of Amity Island where Steven Spielberg's Jaws was filmed. One thing that I didn't know about Universal Studios sets is that other production companies use the sets as well like Disney, Warner Brothers.
After the Studio tour, we went to a show called Waterworld. This show is about when a pirates or some group invaded an atoll full of people that claimed it before. It was a battle between these two groups, fighting to spill the secret of dry land which most of it is gone. One thing that we learned was the many pyrotechnics and special effects techniques. There were flares shooting up in the air, so many explosions, and especially when a seaplane came out of nowhere and crash into the water. That was the best part of the show.
Next we ate lunch, then we headed to our last ride the Minion Mayhem. The ride was about the recruitment of minions for Gru using a machine that turns humans into minions. After Universal we went to CityWalk, ate and did some last minute shopping since we were leaving LA tomorrow. Overall today was a very exciting and fun day. Pretty much riding the movies all day and seeing where they make
It's day 2 of our STN 2015 trip. It start taking up bright and early where we headed out into
Au-we! Today was such a long day. The start of our STN 2015 trip. So on the first day of this trip was pretty tiring but very fun. It started at 5am where everyone told there love ones goodbye. We boarded our flight to Oahu and then after we arrived in Honolulu we rush to the main terminal and board the flight to LA. I have never been this rushed to get on a plane ever. On the
